Broad band Anti Reflection coating

Broad band Anti-Reflective (BBAR) Coatings are applied to glass substrates and filters to reduce the interference of surrounding light on the display. All transparent surfaces reflect some light back in the direction of the source. BBAR Coatings possess light create a phase shift that cancels incident light; thus, preventing the refraction of the wave path at the boundary between the source and the reception of light. Visual accuracy is consequently enhanced. Because accurate visual indicators are essential in navigation, we have developed coatings with less than 0.1% integrated spectral reflections at a 15-degree angle of incident through the visible range. This break- through has enabled us to greatly reduce the overall stack reflectance of Avionics Flat Panel Display.
